---2. WALKTHROUGH ---
--------------------------
2.1) TEDO
| PARTY | ITEMS |
| Alec | LIGHT Pendant |
| Mina | WISDOM Mirror |
You start off in Tedo where Mina tells Alec she found the LIGHT Pendant. Then you learn
that your father Morg has been taken captive during his search for the laconian weapons
by the Daedalus bandits. Tailor, the guy who's all bloody, gives Alec the WISDOM mirror.
Alec and Mina begin at the elder's house where they recieve a SHORT sword, a WOOD cane,
LEATHER armor, and 50 mesta. Go to the top right corner of town and you'll find Rob's
house. Inside Rob says some incohherent gibberish, and directs you to the cave to the
northwest where the scroll of TRUTH is hidden. Before you leave he'll you give a TELEPIPE.
Buy any needed supplies, and head northwest to the cave.
2.2) NORTHWEST CAVE
| PARTY | ITEMS |
| Alec | LIGHT Pendant |
| Mina | WISDOM Mirror |
A simple cave, just go left and then down to get the scroll of TRUTH. Don't waste an
ESCAPIPE or a TELEPIPE, just walk back to Tedo.
2.3) RETURN TO TEDO
| PARTY | ITEMS |
| Alec | LIGHT Pendant |
| Mina | WISDOM Mirror |
| | TRUTH Scroll |
Show the scroll to Rob and he will translate it. Apparently it says that Mina is the
descendent of the legendary Alis from PSI. (Again the loquauois Rob says a lot in
fragmented phrases!) Alec only cares about rescuing Morg, and Mina vows to join him.
From here you should head south over the bridge to Mektor. The monsters are much stronger
on the other side of the river, make sure your level is up. You can go to the gypsy camp
to the southeast, but there's nothing really important there yet.
2.4) MEKTOR
| PARTY | ITEMS |
| Alec | LIGHT Pendant |
| Mina | WISDOM Mirror |
Porum is just a passing through town. Upgrade any weapons if you can afford it. Don't
waste your money on the "tour". All it does is your characters change into a horse-drawn
chaise and it takes you around the town. Head north to Tinyville.
2.5) TINYVILLE
| PARTY | ITEMS |
| Alec | LIGHT Pendant |
| Mina | WISDOM Mirror |
Like in Mektor, upgrade your armory. When you talk to the townspeople they mention PoPo,
some kind of local businessman. Apparently Popo's big money making "idea" is a map but
it has been stolen. Leave town and go left into the cave.
2.6) NORTHWEST CAVE BOSS: LAO-TSE
| PARTY | ITEMS |
| Alec | LIGHT Pendant |
| Mina | WISDOM Mirror |
As soon as you walk into the cave and walk left you fight the first boss in the game,
Lao-Tse. Even if you use the Massage emulator trick to evade all battles you'll still
fight him. He's pretty easy, just make sure your level and equipment is up to date. Don't
bother with spells, just hack away! After he is defeated, he will explain that the map is
really his and not PoPo's. And for kicking his ass, he'll give it you. Inside the cave
you'll find the CAVE key to unlock the passage way to the other cave entrance on the
other side of the river. Other chests contain XXX. You can head to either Mektor or
Tinyville to do what ever but afterwards travel south to the lakeside town of Karkato.
2.7) KARKATO
| PARTY | ITEMS |
| Alec | LIGHT Pendant |
| Mina | WISDOM Mirror |
| | MAP |
This fishing is town is screwed because monsters have destroyed all of their boats.
Reminds me of Rysel in PSIII, but Alec won't do anything about in the whole game unlike
Rhys. The monsters in the surrounding are really strong, but the experience points and
mesta they put out is worth it. Before heading east to the Ancient Ruins, purchase OUZO
from the item shop.
2.8) ANCIENT RUINS
| PARTY | ITEMS |
| Alec | LIGHT Pendant |
| Mina | WISDOM Mirror |
| | MAP |
| | OUZO |
The guard won't let you in, so give the booze-hound some OUZO. He gets "smashed" and
lets you pass. Just go up to get the ATV. Now you can cross the desert, so head back
across the bridge and left to the Gypsy's.
2.9) GYPSY CAMP
| PARTY | ITEMS |
| Alec | LIGHT Pendant |
| Mina | WISDOM Mirror |
| | MAP |
| | ATV |
There are no shops in the camp, but the uppermost hut contains the fortuneteller. This
is the first PS game where the fortuneteller actually does something! Here's what she
says for the different prices:
- Inspiration 10 Mesta "Close the sluice to stop the river from flowing"
- Crystal Ball 30 Mesta "Find Dirk in the Lost Forest...3 right and 2 left"
- Tarot Cards 120 Mesta "A wee enemy will join; a big one will guide. A boat will appear when the master is found."
For the Tarot cards, the fortuneteller gives you the braclet of KURA. It's worthless
until the end of the game. Might as well get it now so you don't forget later! The
desert can now be crossed with ATV. The antlions are the best enemy to kill for quick money,
so drive around for awhile and gain some mesta. When you cross the bridge you'll see a cave,
there is nothing important in here except supplies. Chests contain a PERSEUS sheild, a
TRIMATE, and two attack items TYPHOON and PATRIOT. When you're finshed head to right some
more to Porum.
2.10) PORUM
| PARTY | ITEMS |
| Alec | LIGHT Pendant |
| Mina | WISDOM Mirror |
| | MAP |
| | ATV |
| | KURA Braclet |
Weapons are very expensive but much more powerful, so try to upgrade before moving on. The
bridge that connects Mektor to Tarrytown across the river has been washed away, and people
complain about relatives being trapped on the other side. Again, Alec doesn't give a damn.
Head south into the Lost Forest.
2.11) LOST FOREST
| PARTY | ITEMS |
| Alec | LIGHT Pendant |
| Mina | WISDOM Mirror |
| | MAP |
| | ATV |
| | KURA Braclet |
When you first enter the forest you're automatically taken to Dirk's house in the middle of
the maze. Make your way to the left and you'll find Dirk. After talking to him he'll join
your party. At first he's worthless because of his low level, but those Maurader's are good
level builders. Go back to his house and you'll get the SLUICE key. Go back to Porum. If you
end up on the eastern side of the forest, you'll notice a cave. Don't worry about it yet.
2.12) SLUICE
| PARTY | ITEMS |
| Alec | LIGHT Pendant |
| Mina | WISDOM Mirror |
| Dirk | MAP |
| | ATV |
| | KURA Braclet |
| | SLUICE Key |
After a quick nap at the Porum inn, follow the river upstream to a cave. Using the SLUICE
key, you'll be inside to see a valve with the commands "RIGHT" and "LEFT". Like the
fortuneteller said, turn the valve three times to right, then two times to the left. Now
the river is all dried up and you can cross it into Tarrytown.
2.13) TERRYTOWN
| PARTY | ITEMS |
| Alec | LIGHT Pendant |
| Mina | WISDOM Mirror |
| Dirk | MAP |
| | ATV |
| | KURA Braclet |
First let me say that no matter what level I got at, the Tarrytown area monsters are tough!
Good mesta return, however! Not much do in the town upgrade what you haven't already. Now
here's one the weirdest part of the game, apparently Tarrytown is the "donut" capital! Why
it is, I don't know! Donuts are not used in the game, and there is no mention of donuts in
any other PS game! Getting back on track, you should head north into the mountains to get
the laconian weapons.
2.14) LACONIAN MINES
| PARTY | ITEMS |
| Alec | LIGHT Pendant |
| Mina | WISDOM Mirror |
| Dirk | MAP |
| | ATV |
| | KURA Braclet |
The three caves that are closer to the left of the mountains contain the laconian weapons.
The monsters in these caves are extremenly easy so it should be a cinch making your way
through. The northern cave on the left has the LACONIAN sword with two chests with RAISE
and TORCH in them. The other northern cave that is to right of the latter has the LACONIAN
armor with only one chest containing a SPIRIT. The last cave, and most southern has the
LACONIAN sheild with a TRIMATE in the only other chest. A quick stop at the Porum inn (it's
cheaper then Tarrytown), and you're off to the eastern mine.
2.15) DAEDALUS MINE BOSS: DAEDALUS
| PARTY | ITEMS |
| Alec | LIGHT Pendant |
| Mina | WISDOM Mirror |
| Dirk | MAP |
| | ATV |
| | KURA Braclet |
| | LACONIAN sword |
| | LACONIAN armor |
| | LACONIAN shield |
A RobotCop blocks the entrance so you'll have to take him down. You'll find an ESCAPIPE and
a TELEPIPE in the two chests. At the end of the maze you'll fight Daedalus. Again, like
Lao-Tse, don't waste time with spells and just keep on attacking. When you beat him, Dirk
will fix him and Daedalus will become Lars. Lars is the protector of Alis on this planet.
Dirk leaves your party and you gain Lars. Don't waste time trying to build his levels or
even buy new equipment because he'll leave your party real soon. Head down to that cave
that was on the eastern side of the Lost Forest.
2.16) ALIS'S CAVE
| PARTY | ITEMS |
| Alec | LIGHT Pendant |
| Mina | WISDOM Mirror |
| Lars | MAP |
| | ATV |
| | KURA Braclet |
| | LACONIAN sword |
| | LACONIAN armor |
| | LACONIAN shield |
Another cave with easy enemies, you'll find a TORCH and a MONOMATE in chests. At the end,
you'll see some kind of big RV looking box. Lars will go over and activate the cyrogenic
sleep. Alis will appear (although with purple hair!) and tell Mina that she is her mother
(what a plot twist!). Lars transforms himself in a transport vechile and Alis joins your
party. When you leave the cave you will now be able to drive around in what looks like the
Barbi ferrari. You can travel over water too! After building up everyone's level and weapons,
head to Krakato and go directly south over the water to Cabon's castle.
2.17) CABLON'S CASTLE BOSS: CABLON
| PARTY | ITEMS |
| Alec | LIGHT Pendant |
| Mina | WISDOM Mirror |
| Alis | MAP |
| | ATV |
| | KURA Braclet |
| | LACONIAN sword |
| | LACONIAN armor |
| | LACONIAN shield |
This is the hardest maze of them all. The enemies are a real pain in the ass! All those
dragons really knock you around. ---CHESTS!---. Before fighting Cablon, make sure your HP and
MP are maxed out. You should be at least at level 30. Magic again is worthless. Use the KURA
braclet once in the beginning he'll stop healing himself. You can tell if you're hurting him
by the color of the flames around him. They change in this order: GREEN->YELLOW->PINK->PURPLE.
After defeating him, we find out that Alec has been getting some trim from Mina! Lars
malfunctions, and you are automatically sent to Tedo. Go to Rob's house and you're done!
