This is one of the seminal scenes in AREA-1, path-1
Our heros have defected from the Empire and are on the run.
Tom has befriended them and taken them to his village for
aid and comfort, but his sister, Aris, distrusts them, and even
refuses to feed them after they helped Tom in the countryside
(and vice versa).
After expressing why she cannot take chances with possible
spies and such, the door opens for our heros to meet with
rebel leaders at their mountain redoubt. The first string below
is Aris (character 09) mentioning the massacre at Badd Village,
the very location where our hero, Brian refused to slaughter
innocents.
Aris mentions Badd Village and asks Brian is he is aware of
what happened there, but I'm not clear on how she words her
comments and asks her question. The existing translation
lies immediately below the Japanese.

Is Aris offering a potential solution to the impass?
Maybe so, because she is obligated to report
outsiders and defectors to the rebel leadership. She
might be telling Brian that the only way she can
help him is if "higher ups" approve, but the wording
suggests she is telling Brian not to try to find or visit
the rebel's HQ.

This string requires a yes-no answer.
Here, Aris appears to be saying the opposite of
the above, as if asking Brian to convince her to
take him along when she reports his presence to
the rebel leadership, and then she might gain the
authorization to assist him.

"Yes" to the above string. He is agreeing
to obey, but this doesn't sound right for
the situation.
(if he answers "yes" they head straight to
the rebel camp.)

Sounds like he is acknowledging how tough

scene.
